Today I had one of those underpants moments. I was walking along an Osaka street when I suddenly felt as if I was being watched. It made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I looked around to see if I could spot anyone looking my way, but nothing. Then I realised. It was the pair of long johns across the way, in the book depository. I snapped a quick picture before taking cover.

Garment of choice for the over 50s (male) in Japan is the white pair (possibly with some yellow stains here and there) of long johns. Particularly useful in winter to keep the biting cold from biting your particulars, they're available in various sizes from all good clothes shops.
