tickets and crickets

In a seemingly desperate bid to boost profits, Japan Railways are entering the lucrative but highly competitive market of insect trading.

"I'll have a single to Kobe and a couple of crickets, please," will soon be an oft-spoken phrase across the Kansai region.

If the scheme is popular, JR will introduce sales of other insects later in the year.

"I'll have the one on the right, please."
