bloomin' painful

Japanese television often looks a bit cheap and tacky, but that's probably because it is. However, from time to time, it throws up absolute gems. With Japanese TV, you should expect the unexpected, and even unexpect the expected, although that doesn't actually make sense.

Recently I happened upon a familiar face on an evening show. It was the actor from Kent, Orlando Bloom, promoting some film or other.

He couldn't possibly have known what the show's producers had lined up for him. It was surreal. It was bizarre. It was the dog's bollocks, though not literally.

They were obviously so appalled by the latest Pirates movie that they decided to humiliate him in front of an audience of millions.

He was taken completely by surprise, and sat there, grimacing, as if someone had a tight grip on his nadgers - which may well have been the case.

The Four Grimaces of Orlando:

The grip tightens....

"I'm really sorry for the last installment of Pirates of the Caribbean. Now please let go. "

Bloom waves goodbye to his acting career.

But in a way, it was really rather bad.

Share the pain....

TV In Japan has the same show doing that for Johnny Depp. Whats more is that he apparently did it twice, once for Pirates 2 and now for 3.

I've seen the show with the guys from V6, and the girls are just too cute. I have seen them a couple of months ago as well on the same show... Maybe I can still find it somewhere on the net.

Ha! That'll teach Orlando to ever show his face here in Japan again.

Those kids must've been on drugs or something.
