help me

In Bristol, England, there is a bridge from which many people jump in order to end their miserable life. At either end of the bridge are telephones with little notices next to them urging Mr or Ms Suicidal to pick up the phone and talk to the counsellor on the other end of the line. It actually saves the lives of some people. Nice idea.

Now the Japanese have taken that idea and given it a twist. They've placed phones beside cigarette vending machines for those people who are seriously thinking about quitting smoking. All they have to do is pick up the phone and speak with the specially trained counsellor on the other end. The counsellor will gently calm the caller and talk them into continuing with their three-pack-a-day habit.
